Equity Bank Uganda Backs Pastor Benny Hinn Crusade with Shs 50 Million Donation

In a show of support for faith-based initiatives, Equity Bank Uganda has donated Shs 50 million to Miracle Centre Ministries ahead of the upcoming three-day crusade featuring renowned evangelist Benny Hinn. The handover took place on Tuesday afternoon, with Ms. Catherine Psomgen, the bank’s Director of Public Sector and Social Investments, presenting the cheque to Pastor Robert Kayanja.

The generous contribution underscores Equity Bank’s commitment to partnering with religious organizations in driving both spiritual and socio-economic transformation. Speaking during the handover, Ms. Psomgen emphasized that the donation aligns with the bank’s broader mission of uplifting vulnerable communities. “Our purpose is to transform lives and restore dignity, and we recognize the powerful role faith-based initiatives play in achieving this,” she said.

This is not the first collaboration between Equity Bank and Pastor Robert Kayanja Ministries. The two have previously worked together on impactful projects, including transformational agriculture programs in Karamoja, which began in 2023. These efforts are part of the bank’s Africa Recovery and Resilience Plan, which aims to boost agricultural support by dedicating 30% of its total lending to the sector.

Pastor Kayanja expressed gratitude for the bank’s continued support, noting that the funds would help facilitate a successful crusade. “We are deeply thankful to Equity Bank for standing with us not just in this crusade but also in our efforts to bring sustainable change to communities,” he said. The upcoming event is expected to draw thousands of attendees seeking spiritual renewal and healing under Benny Hinn’s ministry.

The partnership between Equity Bank and Miracle Centre Ministries highlights how financial institutions can work alongside religious organizations to create meaningful impact. By supporting initiatives that address both spiritual and material needs, the bank reinforces its role as a key player in Uganda’s development journey.

As preparations for the crusade intensify, the Shs 50 million donation will go a long way in ensuring smooth logistics and wider outreach. The event promises to be a significant gathering, offering hope and inspiration to many while further strengthening the bond between faith-based work and community development.

Equity Bank’s gesture serves as a reminder of the power of collaboration in driving positive change, proving that when businesses and ministries join forces, the benefits extend far beyond the immediate moment. With such partnerships, Uganda’s future looks brighter, one initiative at a time.
