Rubis Energy Uganda has launched its own cooking gas brand, Rubis Gas, in the market as a way of promoting clean energy and guaranteeing a safer environment. The launch, which occurred at the company headquarters in Nalukolongo, Kampala, marked a major milestone in ensuring Ugandan households and businesses access to a safer, more efficient, and environmentally friendly solution for their cooking needs.

At the launch, Olivier Gatera, Country Manager Rubis Energy Uganda, elaborated on innovation and sustainability as part of the company’s drive.

Rubis Gas has been thoughtfully designed with the end user in mind, from the cylinders to the filling process and distribution network. Every little detail shows our commitment to delivering innovative energy solutions. This launch goes in tandem with our wider vision of contributing toward Uganda’s transition to clean energy for a greener and healthier future,” he said.

He emphasized that access to affordable and sustainable energy is a key driver of progress, and Rubis Energy is proud to be at the forefront of this transformation in Uganda.

Advanced Safety Features

Rubis Gas is fitted with state-of-the-art safety features that guarantee its safe use at home and in business. The cylinders come in various sizes: 6kg, 12kg, 25kg, and 50kg, to meet the different needs of the customers.

The company says the gas will be distributed through its over 70 fuel stations across Uganda, ensuring accessibility for customers countrywide.

Olivia Nahwera, the Fuel Sales and Specialties Manager at Rubis Energy Uganda, said the product is designed to meet modern consumer demands for safety, efficiency, affordability, and environmental sustainability.

With enhanced safety features and adherence to international standards, we offer peace of mind for every family and business. The gas is also designed for optimal energy output, ensuring customers get maximum value for their money,” explained Nahwera.
